The “templates for success” approach, which begins with a digital portrait, removes the anxiety often associated with recommending restorative anterior treatment generated by excessive wear. Such treatment needs, often confused with elective cosmetic dentistry, exist in abundance in everyone's dental practice. These patients can be helped so long as the “eyes and ears” of the practice, the dental hygienist, recognizes the need for care and the doctor is prepared to offer a remedy.

Fostering a team driven approach becomes a win-win event. The hygienist increases the team value with enhanced diagnostic skills; the practice becomes more productive; and most important, patients preserve their dentition.

This lecture will enable you to:
• become a “smile implosion detective”;
• intercept developing bruxism habits that begin as early as adolescence;
• understand splint therapy, including the Bite-Soft splint; and
• understand restorative/cosmetic treatment options from simple to complex, including
   tooth preparation design.

RESULTS: This presentation will help you to create a team driven comfort zone when diagnosing and recommending restorative treatment generated by excessive wear.

This course is partially sponsored by Orascoptic, ColeteneWhaledent and Photomed Inc.
