Thiss hands-on course will show not just ideal results, but rather the most common problems associated with porcelain veneer cases, as well as ways of avoiding these mistakes. Clinical cases will be shown to demonstrate these topics. We will review what to do, and, more important, what not to do with porcelain veneers, showing numerous examples of cases we wish we could do over. Feel free to bring your favorite mistakes, your worst nightmares, and of course, a sense of humor, to this “Laminate Support Group!”

Topics to be covered include:
• treatment planning and case selection for veneers;
• materials selection and preparation tips for veneers;
• the importance of occlusion in planning our esthetic cases; and
• discuss ideal temporization, impression and delivery techniques.

In the hands-on portion you will:
• fabricate a stent to use in temporization fabrication;
• fabricate reduction guides for incisal and facial reduction; and
• learn actual preparation of malaligned and malpositioned typodont teeth.

Participants should bring a high speed handpiece, loupes (if you use them), burs (veneer preparation kit, if you have one), basic set up (mirror, explorer, perio probe, college pliers), and a Bard Parker scalpel with a curved blade.

RESULTS: This course is designed to help dentists incorporate veneers into their everyday practice and avoid costly mistakes.

This course is partially sponsored by YES Dental Lab, Designs For Vision, Henry Schein, Inc., and Trimera.
