Mandated Reporters of Child Abuse (ZOOM)
This NYSED-approved workshop, tailored specifically for New York State professionals, addresses recent amendments to Social Services Law §413. It fulfills state requirements for mandated reporters on child abuse and maltreatment, emphasizing the importance of timely reporting to the State Central Register (SCR) when harm to a child is suspected.
Basic Life Support/-CPR Certification Course (In-Person)
Attendees of this course will become certified and updated on all the most current American Heart Association guidelines in CPR and Basic Life Support. Current guidelines on choking and proper systematic approaches to cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest are discussed. This course includes hands-on practice sessions.
Mandated Infection Control (In-Person)
This course provides the necessary information on and documentation to fulfill the licensure/credentialing requirements mandated by the New York State Education on Department and Department of Health.
Update on HPV and Oral Cancer (In-Person)
This course, while not mandatory, is offered on the same day as the infection control session. During this three-hour lecture, Dr. Brown will cover the pathogenesis of oral cancer, focusing on the roles of tobacco and HPV in the development of oral diseases.
OSHA-Mandated Update for Dentists and Staff; What You Need to KNow to Comply with the Law (ZOOM)
This course includes new information including additional requirements recently signed into law regarding dentist and sepsis management. This course specifically includes OSHA update for PPE COVID-19 recommendations. It is not intended to be a COVID-19 “return to work” course. This requirement is separate from the NYS Mandatory Infection Control Re-Licensure requirement of every four years for dentists and hygienists.
Infection Control for the Dental Practice (In-Person)
This course will help attain a safe working environment for all dental health care workers, patients and staff. You will be able to establish protocols within your office to prevent the spread of infectious disease. An overview of the goals and objectives of infection prevention will be established and demonstrate how to comply and maintain such a working environment.
