ADA Accommodations: Beyond Compliance

The USDOL Job Accommodation Network’s (JAN) Webcast “ADA and Beyond Compliance Considerations: Medical Documentation” helps employers meet the needs of employees with disabilities by encouraging flexibility in the medical documentation process.  By bridging the gap between employees’ functional limitations and what is technically allowable under the ADA, everybody wins.

EARN’s Small Business Toolkit: How to Hire Workers with Disabilities and Build Talent

USDOL’s Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability Inclusion (EARN) recently released its Small Business Toolkit, a comprehensive guide to help small businesses recruit, hire, retain, and advance workers with disabilities.  The toolkit addresses the myriad benefits of building a disability-inclusive workforce, including a deeper talent pool, expanded business reach, reduced workforce turnover, and insight into the large disabled customer base.
