CDC Issues Report on State Medicaid Coverage for Smoking Cessation
Per the notice below, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a report on State Medicaid coverage of smoking cessation, including New York.
As of December 2022, Medicaid programs in 20 states provided comprehensive coverage for all evidence-based tobacco cessation treatments; of these, only three had zero barriers to access. You can read the complete CDC report here: CDC Report on State Medicaid Tobacco Cessation Coverage.
