Public Health Law Conference Symposium Issue of the Journal of Law Medicine and Ethics (JLME)
The Journal of Law Medicine and Ethics (JLME) recently published the 2023 Public Health Law Conference Symposium issue, which is dedicated to an examination of some of the critical topics discussed at the Network’s 2023 Conference: People. Policy. Progress., held in October 2023. In addition to the JLME Conference Symposium issue, articles can be viewed on the Network’s website here.
HIPAA Final Rule to Support Reproductive Health Care Privacy
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights issued a Final Rule, effective June 25, 2024, to strengthen privacy protections under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) for protected health information related to reproductive health care of an individual. This resource highlights the changes outlined in the rule and the considerations for health departments.
