GAO Issues Report on COBRA Health Insurance COVID-19 Subsidies
The United States Government Accountability Office (GAO) has issued a report on the implementation of Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA) health insurance subsidies during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. GAO found that both the United States Department of Labor and the United States Department of the Treasury did a good job in implementing the health insurance COBRA COVID-19 subsidies for unemployed persons under a very tight deadline.
