Patient preferences provide the basis for how patients wish to interact with their clinician, share their personal data, or choose a particular course of action for their care. The consideration of these preferences in healthcare decision making can enhance patient satisfaction and improve health outcomes.
The AHRQ CDSiC has developed multiple products to advance the use of this important data in PC CDS. These include: - An inventory and accompanying report that catalogues 43 unique measurement tools and instruments used to elicit patient preferences related to their healthcare.
- A report that offers guidance on capturing preferences within patient lifeflows and clinical workflows to help optimize the collection and use of this important information.
The AHRQ CDSiC will continue to explore this topic in 2025. For a full list of the AHRQ CDSiC's completed patient preferences products, click here! |
